Meet Kyla - Owner & Lead Stylist at Salon Joy

With over 15 years in the hair industry, Kyla has built a career rooted in passion, creativity, and connection. She has a deep love for professional brands like Kevin Murphy and L'Oréal, and her artistry shines brightest when working with color.

Known for her expertise in foiling and her obsession with creating stunning dimensional coppers and vibrant redheads, coloring is her greatest joy behind the chair.

Opening Salon Joy has been the fulfillment of a dream—bringing together her love of hair, her dedication to her guests, and her vision for a welcoming space where beauty and confidence are created daily.

When Kyla is not at the salon, she’s spending time with her husband and kids. Summers are filled with camping adventures, bike rides, and cruising in the golf cart (with the occasional round of golf in the mix).

At Salon Joy, Kyla brings her heart for people and her passion for artistry into every appointment—building not only beautiful hair, but also lasting relationships.

Meet Sarah - Expert Stylist at Salon Joy

With over eight years of experience behind the chair, Sarah brings both skill and passion to every guest she works with. She specializes in coloring and cutting, and is now excited to expand her artistry into the world of extensions as she continues to grow her clientele. Sarah loves being part of such a fun, creative, and ever-evolving industry, where she gets to combine her talent with genuine connections.

When she’s not at the salon, Sarah can be found outdoors with her husband and their dog—fishing, kayaking, camping, or relaxing at the family cabin. She is also an active soccer player, always bringing that same energy and team spirit into her work at Salon Joy.

Meet Shae - New Talent at Salon Joy

With over a year of experience behind the chair, Shae has developed a strong passion for creating lived-in, dimensional colour and formal styles/updos, but she’s eager to work with all hair types and provide a wide variety of services. Dedicated to growing in her craft, Shae continually seeks opportunities to expand her knowledge in this ever-evolving industry. Shae loves that hairstyling is both a science and an art, but her favourite part of her career is getting to know her clients and helping them feel their best.

When Shae isn’t at the studio, she enjoys spending time with her boyfriend, step-son, and two cats. You can also find her cooking or baking, checking out a cute new coffee shop, tending to her many houseplants, or browsing the aisles at Winners and HomeSense.

Meet Dana — Skilled Stylist at Salon Joy

With over two and a half years of experience behind the chair, Dana has developed a true passion for creating beautiful, personalized looks that make her guests feel their best. She specializes in blondes, dimensional colors, and creative color techniques that bring depth and movement to the hair. Lately, she’s found a growing love for shorter, textured styles that are full of personality and easy to maintain.

What she loves most about her career is the connections she builds — whether it’s welcoming a new guest or catching up with one of her regulars, she truly values the relationships that come from sitting in her chair. Dana’s goal is always to create an experience that feels comfortable, uplifting, and tailored to you.

When Dana isn’t in the salon, you’ll most likely find her spending time with her fiancé, two nieces, and the rest of her family. She also loves getting outdoors for kayaking adventures, tending to her garden, or relaxing in the kitchen cooking and baking something new. If you ever have questions about your hair care routine, color, or styling products, Dana is always happy to share her knowledge and help you feel confident both in and out of the salon.
